How to check your IPO allotment status
Allotment is finalised by the issue’s registrar — KFintech, MUFG Intime (formerly Link Intime) and Bigshare Services handle nearly every Indian IPO between them — and the status usually appears on the evening of the basis-of-allotment date. You will need any one of your PAN, application number or demat (DP/client) ID. BSE also runs its own application check that covers every IPO regardless of registrar, which makes it the simplest place to start.
The "Check status" button on every card above opens those portals directly. Which registrar an IPO uses is named in its prospectus and in your broker’s application email; if you are not sure, use the BSE check first. Registrar sites get congested on allotment evening, so a lookup that times out around 6pm is usually the crowd, not your application.
If you were not allotted, the amount blocked on your UPI mandate is released within a working day or two of the basis of allotment. If you were, the shares reach your demat account before listing day — and the live GMP beside each issue above is the grey market’s running guess at what that allotment is currently worth, never a guarantee of it.
IPO allotment — FAQs
The questions people arrive on this page asking.
Still unclear? Write to contact@papsdigital.com and a person will answer.
How do I check my IPO allotment status?
On the registrar’s portal, with your PAN, application number or DP/client ID. The "Check status" button on each IPO above opens the four working portals — BSE’s universal application check plus KFintech, MUFG Intime and Bigshare. BSE’s check works for every IPO whichever registrar runs it.
When is IPO allotment announced?
On the basis-of-allotment date shown on each card, usually by that evening. Under the exchanges’ current T+3 listing timeline that is about one working day after the issue closes, with listing about two days after that. The dates on this page are the ones the feed publishes for each issue, not a generic schedule.
Why did I not get an allotment?
Most often because the issue was oversubscribed. When more retail applications arrive than there are lots to give, allotment among them is decided by a computerised lottery, so identical applications can have different outcomes. The subscription figure on each card is the measure of that competition.
What happens to my money if I am not allotted?
Nothing was debited in the first place — a UPI application only blocks the amount. The mandate is released within a working day or two of the basis of allotment. If it stays blocked longer, the complaint goes to your bank or broker, not the registrar.
Which registrar handles my IPO?
It is named in the IPO’s prospectus and in your broker’s application email. This site’s feed does not publish the registrar per issue, so the check sheet offers all of them rather than guessing — or skip the question entirely and use BSE’s check, which covers every IPO.
Can I check allotment status without logging in anywhere?
Yes. The registrar portals and the BSE check are public lookups — no account, just your PAN or application number. This site never asks for or stores any of those details; the lookup happens on the registrar’s own site.
Where these numbers come from
Every figure on this page is a published grey-market value, or N/A. Nothing is averaged, merged, inferred or filled in.
The feed
Grey market premium, price band, lot size, subscription and the IPO calendar are read from a single public grey-market data feed, and post-listing prices from the same feed's performance data. There is no second source and no merged data, so a figure is either that feed's published value or it is absent. A field the feed has not filled in shows N/A — never a substituted zero.
Two different clocks
"Source updated" is the time the feed itself stamped the row, in IST. When a refresh fails, the page says the figures are delayed rather than presenting the last set as current, and when nothing can be verified it shows no figures at all rather than old ones.
What is arithmetic, not data
Two columns are calculated here rather than fetched, using the source's own stated convention. Estimated listing price is the upper end of the price band plus the current GMP. Estimated listing gain is that premium as a percentage of the issue price. Both are shown only when every input genuinely exists. They are arithmetic on an unofficial number, which makes them an illustration of what the grey market is implying today — not a forecast, and not a claim about what any share will list at.
What this is not
Grey market premium is not an exchange price. It is not published, regulated, verified or endorsed by SEBI, NSE or BSE. PapsDigital publishes what the grey market published — an unofficial indicator, never a guarantee of any listing outcome.
What PapsDigital does after the IPO
A grey market premium tells you what a small, private market is paying today. It tells you nothing about the index you are buying into, where money is moving this week, or whether the setup on your own chart is worth taking. That is what the rest of the platform is for — a workspace for doing your own analysis faster, not a feed of calls to follow.
- AI StudioDescribe a strategy in plain English; it is compiled to rules and backtested over history. Deploying it to trade is the Quant plan.
- Live NewsIndustry-fast market and macro news the moment it lands, with an economic calendar and a live risk gauge.
